Nielsen/NetRatings indicates that almost three-quarters of residences with Internet connections used broadband last month.
The report indicates May broadband penetration was at 72 percent in May up from 57 percent in the same month last year.
The cannibalization seems to be coming mostly from dial up which dropped 15 points in the same time period---down to 28 percent. This report indicates 102 million homes connect faster than dial-up; up from 79 million households a year ago.
