Amended from Broadband Reports: | Verizon's EV-DO mobile broadband install has gone rather well, the company now offering the 500kbps downstream/100kbps upstream service in more than 32 markets. Sprint will soon join the party, and hopes to offer EV-DO in more than 39 metro markets by the end of June, according to RCRNews (see deployment schedule). It would appear, that after so many years talking about 3G services, they may actually be upon us; albeit stuck around the $80 per month price range. |
