Clara, Calif., July 17, 2007 – ArrowSpan Inc., a global provider of Wi-Fi mesh solutions, today announced that the MeshAP 3100 is fully compatible with a professional network camera from Axis Communications, a global market leader in network video. The AXIS 211A Network Camera is ideal for securing outdoor and indoor environments including offices, construction sites shops and other facilities. ArrowSpan’s MeshAP 3100 combined with the AXIS 211A Network Camera allows users to easily deploy a dependable and secure mesh network that will increase safety and encourage economic development. During test results, the AXIS 211A was able to view images at the maximum speed (14Mbps) and provide robust bandwidth even at the fifth hop.

“Arrowspan’s mesh is highly compatible with video surveillance applications and can provide robust bandwidth even with 5 hops of mesh,” said Max Lu, President/CEO of ArrowSpan. “Being compatible with Axis Communications is a great benefit to our customers.”

The MeshAP 3100 is a Triple RF mesh access point which uses a dedicated 802.11g radio for client connection and dual 802.11a as a backhaul connection. The 200mW (23dBm) node offers users the ability to rapidly deploy a Wi-Fi mesh network by boosting the signal strength to 200m (656ft) in open space, and by supporting high-bandwidth and low latency applications, the MeshAP 3100 provides excellent network performance.

“Having the AXIS 211A be compatible with the MeshAP 3100 allows service providers to not only meet the Wi-Fi mesh and security camera needs of their clients, but provide higher quality services at a reasonable cost,” said Steve Lewis, Strategic Channel Manager of Axis Communications.

The Axis 211A is a professional indoor or outdoor network camera that reduces cabling requirements by providing built-in support for two-way audio and Power over Ethernet (IEEE802.3af).
