WaveRider Communications, today introduced the WaveRider 'MobileWAN' family that are said to enable companies to establish permanent or temporary wireless networks for high-speed voice and data communications.

WaveRider's MobileWAN can be quickly installed in any location and offers mobility for end users, making WaveRider's MobileWAN products suitable for public safety and emergency response applications such as police cars and municipal vehicles.

Operating in the unlicensed 900 MHz spectrum, WaveRider's MobileWAN enables Ethernet connections to up to 100 user terminals per access point, with up to 2 Mbps peak over the air data transfer rates.
