Amended from Daily Wireless: Wireless Watch Japan reports that KT Corp., South Korea's biggest fixed-line telephone and Internet operator, announced Monday an alliance with Sony to equip the popular Playstation Portable with Wi-Fi Internet access. KT said PSP customers will be able to surf the Web via the company's 14,000 hotspots nationwide. It's reportedly the first time that Sony has added Wi-Fi connectivity for the PSP machines. Meanwhile, Tom's Networking reports Buffalo and Sony are linking up for PSP secure wireless gaming. The PSP has built-in WiFi for multiplayer gaming and downloads, but no web browser has been officially announced (yet).
