Wi-Fi Networking News points out that Panasonic may step in and breath life back into Boeing's now deceased in-flight broadband service, Connexion. "This is not a sale of assets, but rather Panasonic Avionics Corporation may use Connexion by Boeing s general approach in a way that would allow airlines that have already deployed Connexion to make a simple and relatively quick transition," notes Glenn Fleishman. InFlight On-line notes Panasonic has a lighter and cheaper system "designed, developed and ready to go," which they're willing to migrate former Connexion customers to.
