A great headline over at ISP Planet by Alex Goldman, who explores how plausible it will be that speeds in excess of 100Mbps will be delivered wirelessly anytime soon. The article suggests that a combination of un-net savvy, financially compromised politicians and an apathetic FCC will keep wired networks relatively slow for now. Improved Mesh networks are explored as the solution in the piece by Ken DiPietro, former Microsoft exec (and 2 time Ironman finisher) turned wireless advocate and WISP operator (NextGen Communications).
WISP Centric Note: Ken is a regular contributor on our site and has his own category. However, he's not the same former Microsoft exec and two time Ironman finisher as BBR incorrectly implied. He his, however, extremely knowledgable in the industry and definitely at the forefront of evolving technologies.
