The WISP Centric Group – the organization and the websites

The WISP Centric Group was conceived by Kory Mohr and came to fruition in November, 2004. Mr. Mohr operated Frontier Broadband, a Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) from 1999 to 2001 in Richmond, Virginia before selling his share to his business partners. The WISP Directory was launched in late 2001 and became the first website under the WISP Centric umbrella. Over the years, the Directory had grown into additional resources which prompted Mr. Mohr to break the site out into additional entities to eliminate site clutter and provide visitors a simple, easy to read and navigate through structure on each site. Each site is cross-referenced from one to the other to allow site visitors easy access to the entire compilation of information and resources the WISP Centric Group has to offer them.

Our unique audiences include WISPs, end users, distributors, systems integrators, consultants and more.

Our sites average over 3,500 unique visitors per day. Unique visitors average almost eight minutes on our sites, ensuring your advertising campaign is being viewed effectively.

The WISP Centric Group is a consortium of the following various websites, each representing a unique niche within the Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) industry. The websites are:

WISP Centric (http://www.wispcentric.com) – An industry news resource, capturing various daily news articles and snippets from various references throughout the Web. Visitors may register on the site, at no charge, and provide moderated industry news and information for consideration. The site provides an easy-to-navigate method of archived WISP industry news and information in various categories. Press releases – Accepted by registered members for consideration in various categories including: manufacturers, distributors/resellers, WISPs, etc.

The WISP Directory (http://www.wispdirectory.com) – A global, categorized resource consisting of approximately 400 websites including WISPs throughout the world as well as WISP-related organizations including manufacturers, distributors & resellers, business operations websites, etc. WISPs and organizations may register their site for consideration in one and/or additional categories at no charge for a basic listing. The Directory also allows site visitors to vote and comment on the quality of the listers’ websites as well as recommend listings to colleagues.

Start a WISP (http://www.startawisp.com) – A resource for prospective, newly established and experienced WISPs. This site is broken down into various categories related to establishing, operating and maintaining a WISP entity including network operations, financing, customer relations, etc. The site includes accepts moderated input and commentary from established WISPs and related organizations, whom register on the site, at no charge, for easy, categorized access by site visitors and viewers. A subscription-based section including various documents that are frequently updated including business plans, potential legal documents, marketing ideas and documents, etc. As of February 2005, there are over 80 submissions with one to two additional submissions being added daily. It additionally includes a categorized discussion forum where site visitors and members may interact with one another, offer advice and share ideas including a special category specifically designed for input on the site’s numerous articles and submissions.

WISP Classifieds (http://www.wispclassifieds.com) – A resource where WISPs and related organizations may offer their private-party classified ads in a categorized format including access points, CPE, tower equipment, etc. at no charge. The site also includes an industry employment category.

Summary:
The Summary shows totals and averages for Sessions, Pageviews, Hits, and Bytes, in aggregate, for all WISP Centric Group websites between June 2005 and May 2006.

Calculation Methodology:

• Session: A series of Hits to your site over a specific period of time by one visitor.
• Pageview: A request to the web server by a visitor's browser for any web page; this excludes images and other media types.
• Hit: Any request to a webserver from a visitor's browser.
• Bytes: The quantity of network bandwidth used by the files requested during the selected Date Range.

Note:
Because Bytes numbers can be very large, abbreviations are used as appropriate, such as MB for megabytes (~millions of bytes).

Our 120x60 banner advertising option is a great value for your advertising and marketing budget as this allows you to place your ad on every page, including the home page.

Our 120x60 sponsorship banner ads are always displayed above the fold of each page, i.e. always displayed prior to scrolling. Ads are run-of-site and consist of no more than four banner ads per page. These ads have the additional feature of not rotating so your ad is always guaranteed to be displayed. These banners offer unlimited click-throughs and views during the duration of the contract. A featured listing stands out over basic listings and is always displayed as the first listing in its respective category. Opt-In Email Marketing

Our opt-in email marketing advertising options are great values for your advertising and marketing budget with pricing starting at a flat $50.00 per entry. As of August 2006, our total members numbered over 1,350. We average approximately two to three additional members each day across our network.

We send out periodic email messages to our members containing information including marketing trends, industry info, new products, WISP Centric information, etc. No contract and/or term is required to be included as a mailing sponsor. Please note: To keep the volume of emails to our listers at a reasonable level, we will not send more than one email per month/per advertiser starting on the 1st of each month. In addition, we will not resell, give away, provide, etc. our members' email information. Please don't ask for them.

Opt-In Email Instructions:
