Samsung Introduces First WiBro Mobile Phone Technology News, Electronics Buy Guide and Gadget Review Samsung is going to demonstrate WiBro mobile phones at the APEC conference next week.

Korea will become the first country to start a WiBro service commercially in the first half of next year.

WiBro (Wireless Broadband) offers 30 to 50 Mbit/s (aggregated) and works also on the move at speeds of up to 120 km/h.

The Korean pushed WiBro is competing with the WiMAX wireless broadband technology heavily pushed by Intel.
